Apply It to Sentence Structure
This lesson is focused on personal pronouns. In the lessons to come, the above chart will become a necessary foundation for learning verbs in the Polish language. You will want to make sure that you know the Polish equivalent of personal pronouns like the back of your hand.
We have already used on, ona, ono in our previous lessons. If you need a reminder of this material go back to Lesson 9.
Examples:
To jest długopis. On jest mały.
This is a pen. He is small.
To jest książka. Ona jest ciężka.
This is a book. She is heavy.
To jest okno. Ono jest kwadratowe.
This is a window. It is square.
What is a conjugation?
The process of modifying verbs according to personal pronouns is called “conjugation”. This will be accomplished for the first time in Lesson 14.

Practice It!
Review this chart in preparation for future verbs. Make several sentences such as those in the previous section of this lesson in order to practice your knowledge of personal pronouns.
