As seen here, the basic chart of personal pronouns is extremely important because it will now serve as the cornerstone for learning many verbs in Polish.
Just like saying I have, you have, he/she has, in Polish we can make conjugations out of verbs by modifying them and placing them with the corresponding personal pronoun.

What is an infinitive?
Every verb has an infinitive form; the infinitive is the basic form of the verb which can be looked up in a dictionary. For example: mieć – to have.
What is a conjugation?
Conjugation is the term we use when we modify the verb to fit with a pronoun. That’s what we did in the above chart. For the time being, simply memorize the conjugations of the verb mieć.

Now, let’s use the verb
mieć to inquire about someone’s name:
Jak ty masz na imię?
What is your name?
Ja mam na imię Ula.
My name is Ula
On ma na imię Jan.
His name is Jan.
Jak wy macie na imię?
What are your all's names?
My mamy na imię Ula i Robert.
Our names are Ula and Robert.

Practice it!
Using various names, write out a simple dialogue of two individuals meeting each other for the first time. You can do this using a combination of greetings and name exchange. You can follow the pattern below:
A: Cześć, jak się masz?
B: Cześć, dobrze dziękuję!
A: Jak masz na imię?
B: Ja mam na imię Ania.
A: Do zobaczenia!
B: Pa pa!
Congratulations, you have passed another milestone in your journey to learn a new language! Most language learners agree, after genders, learning your first conjugation is the next major obstacle. Once you learn your first verb well, others will follow in basic simplicity. Now, there will be many more barriers to overcome, but as long as we continue to take them one at a time, you will do just fine!
