English Preposition | Polish preposition |
in | w |

Apply it to Sentence Structure
Just as in English you say:
I live in . . . .
In Polish you would say:
Mieszkam w . . . .
After the word w we would normally change the ending of the following word into a Locative case (nouns mostly ending in -e or u, but don't worry about this now, we will take one thing at a time). For now, we will provide you with a few city names in their Locative case.
Examples:
Mieszkam w Warszawie.
I live in Warszawa (Warsaw).
Ty mieszkasz w Krakowie.
You live in Kracow (Kraków).
On mieszka w Gdańsku.
He lives in Gdańsk.
Ona mieszka w Chicago.
She lives in Chicago.
My mieszkamy w Londynie.
We live in London (Londyn).
Wy mieszkacie w Paryżu.
You all live in Paris (Paryż).
Oni mieszkają w Berlinie.
They (m) live in Berlin.
